Hard to believe that day 3 is coming to an end. Here are some observations from the day:
Key Highlights:
CJ and CJF Demonstrations by AFA Examiners - Live Horse Demos Showing the Scoring of the Practical Exams. Q and A Session
This was a great demonstration and was narrated at each step by certified examiners.
Key Insights:
Dr. Ellen Staples, DVM, CJF gave a great presentation on Case Studies for the Therapeutic Endorsement Exam
Another great presentation given from the unique perspective of someone who is both a doctor of veterinary medicine and a certified journeyman farrier.
Key Resources:
The FIA Marketplace was open for the 2nd day and it was awesome seeing some great tools, supplies and other items from many familiar vendors. One cool tool that I had not seen before was a great spiral bound book the vendor suggests you can keep in your truck for reference with clients, etc. The pictures and references were all very clear and the photography and assembly of the materials seems all high quality. Not an endorsement but, if interested, you can find them on-line here: Anatomy-of-the-Equine
